Different Types of Orgasms

There are many different types of orgasms that we, as women, can achieve. Let’s dive deep and you can see which ones you have had the pleasure of experiencing and which ones you might want to experience in the very near future. Here are just the first 11 . . .

Clitoral orgasms- These gems are the easiest to achieve but every woman is different in how she likes her clitoris to be stimulated. It is a highly sensitive part of our body and is made up of about 8000 nerve endings. Some women like soft touches and strokes, some women prefer more rigorous play. Whether it is strokes, circles, licks, pressure, vibration, or something completely different this is a highly erogenous zone that is waiting to be explored.

G-spot orgasms- Your G-spot is located on the front wall of your vagina (the belly button side). You can find it when you insert your index finger and curl it towards your wrist.  It is the spongy or bumpy area that when gently pushed or stroked can be very arousing. A g-spot orgasm can be very intense and enjoyable.

Cervical orgasms- When the cervix is stimulated during deep vaginal penetration, an orgasm may occur and this type can be extremely intense. It is often called a whole body orgasm or a mind blowing orgasm. Cervical orgasms can even contract the uterus. This is also referred to as the C-spot.

Deep vaginal orgasms- There are more areas deep inside your vagina that when stimulated or touched can bring on this type of orgasm. The A-spot, which is located on the anterior wall vagina and O-spot which is located on the back wall, almost slightly behind the cervix, are two places that when deep vaginal penetration occur can lead to a very pleasurable ending.

Anal orgasms- Because your perineum (the area of tissue between your vagina and anus) houses many of the same nerves and muscles your as your vagina and your anus/rectum, it can be a highway to arousal for your anus and your vagina. When the blood starts to flow to these areas an orgasm may result. The perennial connects your vagina and your anus so stimulating this area can trigger a vaginal and/or an anal orgasm. The pelvic floor muscles are extremely sensitive for a lot of women so this area can easily be a place of arousal.

Nipple orgasms- A women's nipples vary in sensitivity and some women can be super aroused by having their nipples touched, licked, sucked, pulled, played with, or pinched. With enough stimulation, some women can reach climax by having this area aroused.

Blended orgasms- When more than one erogenous zone is stimulated at the same time, blended orgasms can occur. The more stimulation means the more blood flow to these regions and the more intense the orgasm will be. G-spot/clitoral orgasms are common as are nipple/clitoral/g-spot orgasms. Get creative! The more areas you can excite, the more intense your climax will be. I often think of these orgasms like the game of Twister, you and your partner can get pretty creative here, which can be a ton of fun!

Squirting orgasms- G spot stimulation is usually the culprit of squirting orgasms but they can also happen when areas around the urethra are touched. The amount of fluid that is released varies from a little to a lot so don’t let this concern you, it can totally vary each time. Any volume is normal and is usually clear in color and in case you're wondering no, it's not urine. There are contrasting beliefs in the medical world as to the exact make up of the fluid but one thing that is agreed upon is that it is not urine.

Exercise/coregasm orgasms- During tough workout sessions, some women do climax. Most times these types of orgasms occur when women are participating in core-based exercises when they are contracting their core and their pelvic muscles. A few examples of this type of exercise that engage one’s core are: hanging leg lifts, pull-ups, and chin-ups. These exercises are pretty demanding on the abdominal muscles and cause one to contract the pelvic floor muscles at the same time. Contracting the pelvic floor increases the blood flow to the vagina and climax ensues.

Sleep orgasms- These beauties usually start with a sensual dream but they don’t always have to. In any case, they do always have increased blood flow to the vagina. When blood flow to the vagina is increased, hello to the O. A lot of women report sleeping on their stomach increases the chances of a sleep orgasm but many occur in other positions as well. 37% of women have said to have experienced asleep orgasm in their life.

Multiple orgasms- Because we, as women, are gifted with a very limited, or what seems like no refractory period after orgasm, we do not need any time to recover or to get ready for round two or round 3 for that matter. With more stimulation to your preferred spots, another orgasm will follow.

Tip: if you stay in the high arousal zone, you can orgasm more quickly. Start contracting your pelvic floor muscles (AKA: your kegels) and you will soon be reaching another O!

The bottom line here is that there are many different types of orgasms and every woman’s body is unique. We all like to be touched and stimulated in our own way to feel satisfied, it is about exploring the possibilities to figure out what works for you! So put your explorer hat on and let’s go!
